trichotillomaniaEveryone with trichotillomania is looking for answers. There is so much information out there, but very little data or clinical experience to back that information up. This can make the search for answers to the question “Why can’t I stop pulling my hair out?” and “What’s causing my urges to pull?” very frustrating.

We have worked with hundreds to people with trichotillomania and have found that an overwhelming majority of people that have intense urges to pull or pick at their hair or skin have an imbalance in brain chemicals called neurotransmitters. These imbalances lead to the intense urges to pull associated with trichotillomania and must be corrected in order to get those urges under control.

We haven’t found anything else to be as effective as using amino acid therapy to get these neurotransmitter imbalances under control, which eliminates the urges to pull.
