The “stop pulling hair out” testimonials we receive are encouraging for anyone who has suffered through trichotillomania.  This particularly case was extremely uplifting, particularly because of the severity of the client’s affliction, and her inability to stop pulling hair out.

Dawn has had trichotillomania, OCD, ADHD and anxiety disorder with panic attacks since she was the age of four.  The impact of all these disorders was staggering.  “I developed trichotillomania when I was four and I’ve had it for 30 years with little or no hair on my head.”

Because of these and her other conditions, Dawn suffered throughout school.  She fell too far behind in high school, and eventually couldn’t finish.  The lag caused her to bypass college as well.  And her condition seemed to only get worse.

Amino acid treatment helped her stop pulling hair out

“I have been on so many prescription drugs, I’m lucky to have a liver left,” she said.

Then Dawn discovered our amino acid treatment.  With the ongoing encouragement of Dr. Oler, things began to change.

“I started off in bad shape, so it took a while for me to get the right doses of amino acids.  I had nothing to lose, so I was patient with the program, and Dr. Oler assured me that if I stuck with it, it would work.  He was right.”

Five months later, Dawn has noticed significant progress.  “I feel like I can do so much more already.  I have 75 percent of my hair back, and I started out with none.”

Improved relationship with her family, new goals in life

Dawn is laughing more with her kids and has noted an improvement in her relationship with her husband.  Things are going so well that she even has her eye on matching her husband’s career as a model.

“He has always wanted me to do it with him,” she said.  “I had wonderful offers but they never knew my hair wasn’t real.  I am so close to having my hair that I will start modeling with my husband soon.  It feels like a goal I can finally reach.”

Dawn is also returning to school, focusing on a career in the health and nutrition field.  She wants to use what she learns to help her son.  “I’m not sure if he is old enough for amino acids yet, but I know he doesn’t have to go through what I have, and he can live a full life with no fears.”
