trichaminoacidtherapy

We get questions similar to this all the time, both in the clinic, via email and on numerous blogs that we participate in. It seems like such a simple question, and we have been conditioned to think that a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach works most of the time. The reality is that, just like clothing, a person’s amino acids needs are unique to them.

It would be wonderful if a certain combination of amino acids worked for everyone, or even a large majority of people to help rebalance their brain chemistry. Believe me, we’ve tried. We’ve been working with amino acid therapy since 2001 and have worked with well over 1000 people. I can say with certainty that there is no ‘one’ combination or formula that will work for everybody or even most people.

However, we do know that it is imperative to take a balance of serotonin and dopamine precursors along with the necessary cofactors necessary to turn those precursors into their respective neurotransmitters. Unfortunately, that balance is also unique to each person. The good news in all this is that testing is available to help us determine the unique blend of amino acids and other nutritional factors each person needs to optimize neurotransmitter function.

It may not be as simple as taking one combination and feeling better, but once we determine your unique needs and properly address them, the change can feel near miraculous. If you want to hear just how profound the change can be, be sure and read some of our client’s stories.
