I just spoke with Sabrina’s mom (for previous updates, see https://stoppullinghairout.com/2013/11/28/a-work-in-progress-update-2/); she is still mostly OCD and urge free. In fact, she hasn’t pulled at all in the last 3 months and rates her urges to pull a “0” on a scale of 1-10.
She says that her OCD is a “0-1” on a scale of 1-10, but that it is easily manageable and she can quickly talk herself through anything that comes up.
Once more, Sabrina has (finally!) started staying over with friends and inviting them over to her house. In addition, she is now excelling at school and made the honor roll this past term.
Her mom says she is flourishing and “thinking and acting like a normal teenager”. While this has its own struggles and trials, they are both very content with them now that OCD and Trich are no longer in the way!
